Hubertus Cranz, Executive Director AESGP

Dr. Hubertus Cranz has Masters’ degrees in Pharmacy and Economics and obtained a Doctorate in Natural Sciences at the University of Kiel, Germany. After taking part in different trainee programmes in pharmacies and the pharmaceutical industry (Ciba, Bayer), he worked for the Institute for Health System Research in Kiel, a collaborating centre of the World Health Organization (WHO), and for the German Association of the Pharmaceutical Industry (BPI) in Frankfurt. In 1988 he became Director General of AESGP and established an organization in Brussels representing the full range of the European consumer health industry.

Daphné LECOMTE-SOMAGGIO, Director General AFIPA

Daphne began her carreer at Burson Marsteller i&e, in charge with communication campaigns for Institutional Clients. She specialized in Public Affairs and crisis communication.
In 2005, she became the first Secretary-General of FEFIS (French Federation of Health Industries) where she developed the structure, particularly inside the Medef (Mouvement des Entreprises de France).
Since 2009, she is the General Manager of AFIPA, the French Association of Pharmaceutical Industry for Responsible self-medication.

Maite Lopez-Gil Vives, Deputy Director of Market and Regulatory Department (MaR) Spanish Association of Self-care Industry (ANEFP) - Spain

She holds a Degree in Pharmacy from Complutense University (Madrid, Spain). She held different positions in pharmaceutical companies:
- Production Planning Manager (Sanofi, 1995-1996)
- Commercial Delegate in Primary Care (Rottapharm, 1997)
- She joined the Spanish Association of Self-Care Industry (ANEFP) 20 years ago, working at the Department on Market and Regulatory Affairs.

Katharine Mason, Director of Regulatory and Legal Affairs PAGB – United Kingdom

Katharine joined PAGB as Director of Regulatory and Legal Affairs in October 2016. Katharine is responsible for the regulatory environment under which PAGB members operate and the regulatory and advertising services offered to members. Katharine is an expert in advertising regulation and a lawyer by background. She joins PAGB from the Committee of Advertising Practice (CAP) where she was the Copy Advice Food specialist. During her seven years at CAP Katharine worked closely with the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA).

Ilaria Pasarani, Secretary General PGEU

Ilaria Passarani, is Secretary General of PGEU, the organization representing European Community Pharmacists. She provides strategic direction and leadership to the organization while managing the day to day operations of PGEU and its ongoing relationships with its member associations and other stakeholders, as well as representing the community pharmacy sector in various European and national fora.

Before joining PGEU Ms Passarani worked as Head of the food and health Department at the European Consumer Organization BEUC. She also served as a member of the European Medicines Agency (EMA) Management Board.

Ms Passarani graduated in Economics and management from Bocconi University, Italy. Since 2010 she is honorary researcher at the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences at the Maastricht University, The Netherlands.

Jaime Pey Sanahuja, General Director of the Spanish Association for the self-care products (ANEFP)

He holds a Degree in Business Administration and a Master Degree from the university of ESADE. He began his professional career in the pharmaceutical sector in a company called Sanofi, moving on to Bayer, where he worked as Pharmacy Sales and Marketing Director.
In November 1997, he joined the Agency Olgilvy One as deputy general director, and a year and a half after he became director of OTC Division of Novartis, a job that he held for five years until his incorporation into Zambon as general director for the Iberian Peninsula, where he has remained until September 2012.
Since November 2012 he manages the Spanish Association for the self-care products (anefp).

Isabel Soares, Communication & External Affairs Assessor at APIFARMA

Isabel Soares is a communication specialist from the Portuguese Pharmaceutical Industry Association (APIFARMA). She started her career in journalism, had an experience in the financial sector, and in the past 14 years she has been working in the health sector.With a degree in Communication, 2 postgraduate degrees in Marketing Management and in Health Communication, Isabel Soares has experience in the strategic development and implementation of integrated advocacy communication programmes in the health sector that include the Portuguese Self-Care Program “Tratar de Mim”.

Jurate Svarcaite, Designated Director General AESGP

Jurate Svarcaite received her Master in Pharmacy from Kaunas University of Medicine in Lithuania and her Master in Science from The School of Pharmacy, University of London. As Secretary General of PGEU, she represented the interests of community pharmacy, managed the PGEU Secretariat, including its relations with PGEU member associations and relevant stakeholders, and provided strategic direction to the organization. Before this, she was Head of the Pharmaceutical Care Department for a major pharmacy chain in Lithuania where she was responsible for the development and implementation of new services and professional development of pharmacy staff. JurateSvarcaite joined AESGP as Director General designate on 1 April 2018 and will take over as Director General on 1 June 2018.

Λευτέρης Μαρίνος, MPharm, MSc στη Φαρμακογνωσία βιοδραστικών φυσικών προϊόντων, Μέλος ΔΣ ΙΔΕΕΑΦ, πρόεδρος Ελληνικής Εταιρείας Εθνοφαρμακολογίας, Μέλος Ελληνικής Εταιρείας Φαρμακευτικής Πρακτικής

Ο Λευτέρης Μαρίνος αποφοίτησε το 1995 από τη Φαρμακευτική Σχολή του Πανεπιστημίου Semmelweis στη Βουδαπέστη. Είναι φαρμακοποιός της κοινότητας και το φαρμακείο του βρίσκεται στην περιοχή του Αλίμου. Το 2001 ολοκλήρωσε τις μεταπτυχιακές του σπουδές στο Εθνικό και Καποδιστριακό Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών, στη Φαρμακογνωσία Βιοδραστικών Φυσικών Προϊόντων. Είναι ο συγγραφέας του βιβλίου «Εγχειρίδιο Φαρμάκων - η φαρμακολογία στην πράξη» που εκδόθηκε το 2009 από τον Φαρμακευτικό Κόσμο. Είναι ένα από τα ιδρυτικά μέλη της Ελληνικής Εταιρείας Φαρμακευτικής Πρακτικής. Από το 2015 υπηρετεί την Ελληνική Εταιρεία Εθνοφαρμακολογίας από τη θέση του προέδρου. Τέλος από το 2017 είναι μέλος του διοικητικού συμβουλίου του ΙΔΕΕΑΦ.
